Service
As Disciples grow, we begin to realize that we truly find our lives when we give our lives in service for others. Jesus
said Disciples came first not to be served, but to serve others. Therefore, this congregations mobilizes ourselves in service
to Each Other and to our Community.

Every Rehoboth member and/or family is in a "Shepherd Group". Shepherds guide their group
to deeper relationships with one another through regular communication and occassional meals together. Shepherd Groups also
keeps an eye open for missing sheep, and follows up with them. When necessary, the Shepherd alerts the rest of the group
(and the pastor) when any one of the group is in need of care. The fellow sheep and Shepherd are the first responders,
with meals, phone calls, visits, transportation, child care, prayer, or whatever other service would be useful and supportive.
Coordinator Rev. Joel Tolbert
Current Shepherds: Buz Smith, Robbie
Roberts, Jan Hewatt, Carol Lowe, Kathy Corbett, Kay Bryant, Jody Andrade and Judie Ritter

At some point, a faithful member may find themselves unable to come to church, due to health, transportation,
or distance issues. In this case, church keeps coming to them. Weekly bulletins, monthly newletters, and occasional worship
recordings are mailed. Regular notes and cards are sent. Regular phones calls and visits are made. Transportation back to
church is offered and arranged for special occassions. And, in-home Communion comes annually. Coordinator JoAnn Brown

Prayer is not just a substitute for action. Prayer is an action with no substitute. Therefore,
whenever one of our own would appreciate prayer, we activate a chain of prayer warriors, who vow to pray specifically for
that person and that situation throughout the day and days to come. Coordinator Robbie Roberts
